Mortgage Customer Service Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Mortgage Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Frankfort, Kentucky. This position focuses on supporting loan servicing operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and addressing customer inquiries regarding mortgage loans. As a contract to long-term opportunity, this role offers a pathway to sustained employment for a dedicated individual.
Responsibilities :
- Respond to customer inquiries related to single-family mortgage loans, providing clear and accurate information on loan requirements, status, and specific transactions.
- Prepare payoff quotes, payment histories, and other loan-related documents, ensuring precision and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Handle requests for partial releases, loan assumptions, and Private Mortgage Insurance cancellation while adhering to applicable guidelines.
- Process customer updates, including personal changes, and communicate results to mortgagors and regulatory agencies in writing.
- Assist with annual principal balance reductions on forgivable loans and prepare debt forgiveness notifications upon loan maturity.
- Review rental applications and coordinate approvals with the manager, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Support customers navigating the department's online e-Status system and provide guidance on its functionality.
- Collaborate with Investor Accounting to ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
- Act as a liaison to redirect calls and written inquiries efficiently across departments.
- Scan and archive essential documents and correspondence in compliance with company protocols.
Requirements :
Strong knowledge of federal housing programs, laws, and regulations.Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.Excellent written communication skills with a solid grasp of grammar and business writing.Ability to collect, analyze, and evaluate data effectively.Familiarity with basic mathematical principles and their application in loan servicing.Experience in accounts payable and loan servicing processes.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
