Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join one of our clients on an interim basis. This on-site role oversees a team of 30, including plumbers, technicians, and an Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have proven management experience in the services industry, strong people skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with the team and resolve issues as they arise.
Responsibilities :
Develop, communicate, and execute the mission and strategic direction, ensuring every employee understands their role's importance and connection to a greater purpose.
Lead managers across various levels, guiding them to achieve organizational strategic objectives.
Formulate and implement strategic plans, collaborating at all levels to ensure alignment with business goals.
Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and emerging standards.
Navigate change management, expand operational offerings, and encourage innovative ideas and methods.
Evaluate success using key strategic metrics, assessing performance and implementing improvements.
Manage and coach leadership staff, including responsibilities for hiring, termination, scheduling, performance evaluations, and work assignments to optimize resource utilization and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with executive and senior leaders to support timely decision-making and clear communication throughout the organization.
Assess workload distribution and manpower utilization to maximize profitability.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and established processes and procedures.
Oversee financial operations and assume responsibility for organizational financial performance.
Address customer escalations and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements :
At least five years of managerial experience successfully leading and managing diverse teams.
At least three years managing Profit and Loss statements, with proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control.
Demonstrated success in business-to-consumer sales, preferably within the home services sector, with a proven ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
Experience managing daily operations, service delivery, customer satisfaction, and quality control, ensuring efficient processes.
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for business growth and adaptability.
Skilled at building customer relationships, resolving escalations, and promoting customer satisfaction.
Experience in recruiting, training, and developing staff, setting expectations, conducting evaluations, and fostering a positive workplace.
Proven capability to lead through change, including business expansions and process enhancements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Strong data-driven decision-making skills to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
