Job Title : Manufacturing Operator

Work Week Starts on Sunday :
Trainees are paid a training wage until the completion of training, approx. 8-12 wks.
Orientation is 2 days then will move to their positions.
Additional $.50 when converted to FTE

The manufacturing site makes a dry powder product, called cell culture media, which is used nationwide by pharmaceutical companies in the manufacture of human and animal pharmaceuticals. In this role, you will be working with Dried Powdered Media (DPM).
What Youll Be Doing :
Processing loading chemicals into large stainless-steel blenders, using an equipment operation interface to preblended / mill / post blend, monitoring automated processes, troubleshooting
Packaging prepping materials, packing out powder into containers (barrels, buckets, bottles etc.), palletizing filled containers
Cleaning breaking down / setting up equipment, hooking up hoses / piping using gaskets / clamps, spraying down rooms, loading equipment into parts-wash, operating and monitoring automated cleaning
Computer Use must have basic computer skills
Documentation the ability to read and write legibly / clearly / accurately in logbooks in English.
The process is standard, but each batch of powdered product is unique, and the length of manufacturing time will vary. Therefore, no two days are the same!
All job activities are performed indoors under temperature-controlled conditions
What You Bring :
Machine Operator Experience preferred, also Manufacturing, Warehouse, or Quality experience preferred
Computer skills
Ability to complete paper-based documentation
Attention to detail
Willingness to learn
Good attitude and attendance
Candidates should be looking for a full-time / permanent position

Schedule Information :
Sigma manufacturing runs 24 / 7
Shifts are on a two-week shift pattern (weekend work is scheduled, every other weekend).
All new employees will be given their shift pattern for the remainder of the year on Day 1.
New temporary employees are required to attend two days of new hire training.
Day 1 : Tuesday shift, 8 am 4 pm
Day 2 : Wednesday shift, 8 am 4 pm
Day 3 : Deploy to Team shift pattern either Thursday 7 AM 7 : 30 PM or Friday 7 AM 7 : 30 PM (if Friday, work the weekend)
