Security Officer - Armed Telecom Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Telecom Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This armed position involves engaging with people, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting a secure environment. Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 10 : 00 AM - 07 : 00 PM

Wed 10 : 00 AM - 07 : 00 PM

Thur 10 : 00 AM - 07 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address situations as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and help to foster a secure environment for employees and visitors at the location.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and / or other defensive tools as required by the post.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members while performing assigned duties.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
