Job Description
Build what keeps production moving
Our Batavia, IL team crafts precision components that power packaging equipment and engineered systems. We’re adding a direct-hire Haas VMC Programmer & Fixture Design Machinist on first shift —a hands-on maker who thrives on solving machining challenges and owning the process end-to-end.
What success looks like
You transform a print into a stable, efficient process : smart workholding, clean toolpaths in Mastercam, and a dialed-in setup on a Haas vertical machining center. You keep quality tight with basic gauges, address tool wear quickly, and handle secondary operations so parts move seamlessly to the next stage. You communicate clearly with engineering, share improvement ideas, and pitch in across the shop to keep flow.

- Set up and operate Haas 3–4 axis VMCs to produce precision parts
- Select cutters, set feeds / speeds, and optimize cycle time and finish
- Design and build fixtures as needed for production
- Inspect with calipers, gauges, and basic measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and quality issues
- Perform manual machining and secondary ops : deburring, drilling, tapping
