Physical Security Specialist

Responsibilities
What You'll Get To Do :
- Lead Multidisciplinary Reviews : Evaluate all Physical Security Branch (PSB)-assigned construction projectsinternal and external (WHS, Arlington County, Virginia Department of Transportation)with a focus on security, operational impact, and mission alignment.
- Manage Multiple Projects : Provide project management support for 510 active or in-planning PSB taskings, ensuring timely execution and stakeholder coordination.
- Contribute to Strategic Planning : Develop and provide input for Physical Security Plans, Security Master Plans, and external planning efforts such as Transportation Management Plans, Reservation Master Plans, and Utility Plans.
- Support Integrated Scheduling : Review and contribute to the Master Integrated Project Schedule, which tracks all active construction efforts across the National Capital Region (NCR).
- Track and Report Progress : Monitor assigned PSB projects, analyze performance, and deliver timely updates through Significant Activity Reports (SARs) and other reporting channels.
- Conduct Field Surveys and Analysis : Perform lighting surveys, feasibility studies, and develop operational concepts (CONOPs) and use cases to support project planning and execution.
- Collaborate Across Teams : Serve as a liaison with the Joint Service Provider, IT teams, and internal / external stakeholders to ensure effective deployment and integration of Electronic Security Systems across the Pentagon Reservation and NCR facilities.
- Support Security Master Planning : Participate in scheduled updates to the Integrated Security Master Plan, contributing insights and recommendations.
- Drive Process Improvement : Document current-state business processes, identify challenges, and assess opportunities to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
You'll Bring These Qualifications :
Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in designing, planning, implementing, and managing physical security projects, including developing standards and ensuring compliance, OR 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Security Management, or Architecture)Technical Expertise :Familiarity with leading electronic security platforms such as AMAG Symmetry, Software House CCURE, or Bosch Video Management System is highly desirable.Strong working knowledge of video surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control systems.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project for scheduling and project tracking.Ability to manage installation and maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.Skilled in troubleshooting electronic security systems, identifying issues, and implementing effective solutions.Chenega Corporation and family of companies is an EOE.
