  • Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse\n
  • Unit : Resource RN – PCU Float (Med Surg, ER holding)\n
  • Start Date : December 8 or December 15, 2025 (firm)\n
  • End Date : March 9, 2026\n
  • Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract\n
  • Shifts : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 00)\n
  • Hours : 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee\n
  • Estimated Weekly Pay : $1700-$1820\n
  • Number of Positions : 2 PCU RN jobs available\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active RN license (Texas or compact state; must be in hand before start date)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in PCU, Med Surg, or ER\n
  • Previous travel nursing experience required\n
  • Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required for PCU nursing jobs)\n
  • Experience with Epic charting system preferred\n
  • Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)\n
  • Willingness to float between Med Surg, PCU, and ER holding units\n
  • Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance\n

    • \n\nPCU RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations in PCU, Med Surg, and ER holding units\n
  • Float as needed to support various hospital units based on staffing needs\n
  • Manage patient ratios (typically 5 : 1 on days, 6 : 1 on nights)\n
  • Utilize Epic for accurate documentation and charting\n
  • Perform advanced nursing skills : cardiac telemetry, central line care, blood product administration, and more\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy)\n
  • Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed\n
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards\n
