Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior BI Developer to join our Data, Analytics and Visualization team in Lansing, MI. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of permanent placement.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Tableau and Power BI, as well as a strong understanding of data visualization, data modeling, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive and visually appealing Tableau and Power BI reports and dashboards
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate those needs into technical requirements
• Offer the best-fit alternative solution when appropriate
• Create complex calculations, measures, and calculated fields in Tableau and Power BI
• Develop and maintain data sources in Tableau Prep and Power BI Data Flows
• Collaborate with data engineers and other technical teams to ensure data is structured and organized for efficient reporting and analysis
• Troubleshoot issues with existing reports and dashboards
• Stay current with Tableau and Power BI best practices and recommend process improvements
• Train and support end-users on how to use Tableau and Power BI reports and dashboards
