Schedule 12-hour day shifts, with every other weekend based on unit needs. Orientations occur bi-weekly on Mondays. Job Description The Med Surg RN will work in the Diabetic Renal Unit (DRMU) of a teaching hospital. The role involves working closely with students and new hires, contributing to a culture of support within the clinical environment. Responsibilities The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Med Surg unit, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Due to the nature of the setting, the RN should be prepared to assist with the educational needs of students and new staff. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med Surg setting. Active Virginia or Compact Nursing License required upon start.
