Substitute Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to support our educational mission as a Substitute Paraprofessional.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities include :

• Providing instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students
• Assisting teachers with classroom management and general supervision of the class
• Assisting with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
• Supervising students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and / or during before and after school programs
• Attending to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
• Supporting students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs / 504 Plans
• Performing other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration
