Night shift (19 : 00 - 07 : 00), 3x12-Hour shifts.

Job Description

The Critical Care Respiratory Therapist will provide essential respiratory care in various settings, including a 6-bed ICU, Emergency Room, Medical / Surgical unit, Pediatrics, and low-volume newborn stabilization. The role includes managing invasive and non-invasive ventilator support while ensuring high-quality care for a diverse patient population, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver routine respiratory therapy management and medication delivery.
  • Perform routine care for patients with diverse respiratory conditions, including COVID-19.
  • Conduct assessments and provide interventions in critical care areas.
  • Respond to emergencies and assist the Cardiology Department with EKGs after hours.
  • Work independently or in collaboration with other respiratory therapists.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 1 year of critical care respiratory experience.
  • Current New York state respiratory therapist license required prior to submission.
  • Certifications : ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP.
  • Preferred : Experience with EPIC charting system.
