Trauma Nurse Practitioner Job Details

Location : Flagstaff, Arizona 86001 – Arizona healthcare jobs

Facility : Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center (269 beds)

Assignment Dates : October 28, 2025 – November 4, 2025 (potential for additional locum shifts)

Shift Schedule : Night shifts, 12 hours (6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM)

Weekly Hours : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $3980–$4270

Patient Census : 10–15 adult trauma patients per shift

EMR System : Cerner

Orientation : 4 hours (remote Cerner EMR training provided)

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

Active Arizona Nurse Practitioner license (or proof of application) – Arizona NP jobs

Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)

ATLS certification required

DEA license required

Minimum 2 years of acute care experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Experience with trauma patients in a hospital or surgical setting preferred

COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Key Responsibilities – Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner

Deliver comprehensive trauma and surgical intensive care to adult patients

Collaborate with trauma surgeons and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Perform patient assessments, procedures, and interventions appropriate for trauma care

Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR system

Participate in trauma rounds, admissions, and discharges as needed

Maintain timely and accurate completion of medical records and case documentation
