About The Position

Job Title : Travel RN - ICU

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Intensive Care Unit

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night shift

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of ICU experience

License : Active RN license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS preferred

Description :

Travel RN position available in the ICU.

The unit has 18-22 beds with a staff of 43.

Day shift staffing typically includes charge nurses, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and sitters.

Night shift patient ratios are 1 : 2, 1 : 1, or 2 : 1.

Equipment utilized includes CRRT, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, EKG machines, NICOM, Level 1, Arctic Sun, and EVD.

EMR system is Meditech.

Candidates must have previous ICU experience.

Experience with liver and kidney failure patients and / or transplants is preferred.

Typical procedures performed include intubations, line placement, thoracentesis, paracentesis, EGDs, and bronchoscopies.

The ideal candidate is teamwork oriented.

This unit offers new equipment and technology, as well as a skilled and experienced team.

Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role.

Those with the preferred experience will be given priority.
