Job descriptionAnnual Volume : 14,500 patients Daily Volume : Approximately 40 patients Trauma Level : Level 3 Admissions Rate : 12% EMS Patients : 17.3% Emergency Department Beds : 7-10 ICU Beds : Not specified EMR System : Ochsner EPIC Backup Specialties : OBGYN, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Surgery Special Services : CT, ICU, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Physical Therapy, Ultrasound Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered BE / BC ATLS, ACLS, PALS Active LA License or IMLC Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment Manage a broad range of acute medical conditions and trauma cases Collaborate with NP / PAs and other emergency department staff Utilize Ochsner EPIC EMR system for documentation and order entry Participate in required orientation, EMR training, and shadow shift prior to starting
