What we need :

We are looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to play a key role in driving financial planning, forecasting, and business performance analysis to support strategic decision-making. This position will partner closely with operations, accounting, and executive leadership to deliver insights that enhance profitability, efficiency, and growth.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Assist in the development of the company's annual planning process and monthly forecasts
  • Own long planning model, partnering closely with Corporate Development team and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Develop and maintain dynamic financial models that support scenario analysis and other strategic initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally to improve forecast accuracy by gathering and interpreting financial and operational data

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Provide detailed analysis of monthly and quarterly results, highlighting key trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
  • Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards to communicate financial performance and operational KPIs
  • Analyze job-level profitability, project margins, and cost trends to identify operational efficiencies
  • Business Partnership

  • Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, and Accounting teams to ensure financial integrity and alignment with business goals
  • Support leadership in strategic initiatives such as pricing analysis, capital investments, and growth opportunities
  • Serve as a financial liaison to regional and branch managers, helping translate financial insights into actionable strategies
  • Process Improvement & Tools

  • Enhance existing reporting and forecasting tools; implement best practices for data accuracy and consistency
  • Streamline financial processes and automate recurring analyses where possible
  • Support ERP and BI system optimization for improved financial visibility
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
  • 4-6 years of progressive financial analysis, FP&A, or a related finance experience, preferably in restoration, construction, field services, or a project-based environment
  • Investment banking or financial due diligence experience is highly desirable
  • Skills that will make you successful in this role :

  • Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP and reporting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Viewpoint, or similar)
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of interfacing with executives and non-financial stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

    Compensation :

    Guardian is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $90,000 - $120,000 + Bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

    Location : This role is a hybrid role – requiring 2-3 days / week in the downtown Denver office.
