Trades Generalist
A Trades Generalist performs journeyman work in one trade, and skilled and semi-skilled level work in several other trades. Work with other tradesman in maintenance, repair, installations and construction activities, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Four years of full-time experience in carpentry work under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program, or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in carpentry at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services; OR Successful completion of the two-year Trades Specialist (Carpenter) traineeship or a two-year carpenter training, apprenticeship, OR equivalent program
Preferred Qualifications : The ability to make repairs to hospital equipment such as desks, cabinets and doors and the ability to frame, sheetrock, tape and paint. Knowledge of appropriate tools and materials needed to complete assigned tasks. Demonstrate knowledge of system layouts and designs.
One, permanent, non-competitive full-time appointment. The posted salary range ($54,425 - $65,548) includes $4,000 of downstate adjustment.
