Overview
Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team. This role provides commercial lines support in maintaining, expanding, and servicing assigned accounts.
How You Will Contribute
- Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverages and rating, including licensing as required by law and all continuing education required
- Maintain favorable relationships with customers and producers
- Enter all required data into the agency management system to maintain current file data on all assigned accounts, and document all conversations and actions taken at the insured's request
- Prepare renewal submissions including all attachments and supplements; work with Marketing during the renewal process
- Present or co-present renewal proposals to insureds
- Write additional lines of coverage (e.g., flood, wind) as needed
- Prepare and / or review binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations for delivery to insured
- Validate coverages and premiums charged on policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations and collect premium payments within 10 days
- Maintain follow-up (diary) system for correspondence and requests
- Review property and casualty losses with claims manager, producer, and customer as needed
- Perform clerical functions including answering phones, proofreading, photocopying documents, and timely responses to email correspondence
Skills and Experience to be Successful
5 - 7 years of experience in Commercial Lines account managementProperty & Casualty LicenseExperience working remotelyHigh school diploma or equivalentProficient with MS Office SuiteAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityPreferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a business or financial related disciplineInsurance Designation e.g. AAIProficient in AMS360 and Image RightBenefits
