Solterra Academy provides comprehensive special education for students aged 5 to 22 requiring intensive intervention due to severe emotional, behavioral, cognitive, developmental, and / or learning challenges. As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll provide engaging and differentiated academic lessons for all subjects for the classroom. Teachers will work collaboratively with our clinicians, administration, and classroom support staff to ensure student success within our program. Sign-on Bonus Available!

School Year Schedule : Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM. (In-Person)

Mandatory Summer Session : Monday to Friday 8 : 00 AM - 2 : 00 PM (In-Person)

Responsibilities

• Prepare students' individual goals and objectives in SMART format.
• Implement the IEP as approved by the PPT.
• Submit report cards and IEP progress marks by due dates, proofing and editing as needed.
• Develop a system to track student progress on IEP goals.
• Conduct academic assessments three times a year (i.e., Star 360) to track student progress and inform IEP goals and objectives.
• Prepare for and participate in PPT's.
• Prepare for and participate in Team Meetings.
• Develop written lesson plans and implement engaging, differentiated academic lessons aligned with the Common Core State Standards for all subjects within the classroom.
• Daily communication with parents / guardians via home notes, emails, or phone calls.
