Water & Wastewater Services Division (BGC WWS), a partner of the H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated full-time Lead Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will take charge of all facets of water / wastewater service; troubleshooting and repairing existing equipment as well as overseeing installation and start-up of new systems.The ideal candidate is safety focused, team oriented, and takes initiative. Hands-on training available.Minor welding or fabrication as needed.Coordinate work with plant operators; provide clear status updates and mentor junior technicians.Ensure compliance with OSHA and confined-space safety protocols; complete service reports and daily logs.Operate a company-owned mechanics truck (with crane) throughout the tri-state region; obtain / maintain DOT medical card.Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response.QualificationsRequired Skills, Education, and Experience5+ years hands-on service experience in the water / wastewater industry, combining heavy mechanical work with practical electrical troubleshootingMust be comfortable working in and around wastewater environmentsBasic mechanical knowledgeAble to lift and / or move up to 75 poundsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsEfficiency, accuracy, and responsibilityPreferred Skills, Education, and Experience3 years related experienceMaintenance experienceExperience in Wastewater services, heavy civil construction, or other heavy industryCertificationsOSHA 40-hourConfined Space EntryCPR & First-AidTechnical Skill SetSolid working knowledge of pump station and treatment-plant processes and flows; mechanically inclinedAble to read equipment manuals, schematics and blueprintsPerform general welding and fabrication tasksClear communicator, comfortable working side-by-side with plant personnelSelf-motivated and organizedProficient with laser assignments and vibration analysis is a plusTraining is availableMobility & DrivingValid drivers license and ability to secure DOT medical card for Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia Will routinely drive / operate a mechanics truck with cranePhysical DemandsOccasionally required to : Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlTalk and hearLift and / or move up to 75 poundsWork EnvironmentOccasionally exposed to : Moving partsFumes and / or airborne particlesExtreme heatRisk of shockInclement / outdoor weatherNoise level is loud at timesThe Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc.
