As the Director of Human Resources for LiveNOW, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a fast-moving environment that thrives on immediacy, accuracy, and collaboration.
This strategic HR leader will act as a trusted partner to newsroom and operations leaders, ensuring that the people strategy aligns with the evolving needs of 24 / 7 live coverage. You'll focus on developing high-performing teams, cultivating an inclusive and resilient culture, and driving HR programs that sustain engagement in a dynamic, deadline-driven setting.
This is an individual contributor role that partners closely with the FOX Television Stations HR team and LiveNOW leadership.
A snapshot of your responsibilities includes :
- Partner with leadership to define and execute people strategies that align with LiveNOW's rapid-response, live-news model
- Advise newsroom leaders on organizational design, talent management, and workforce planning for a live streaming environment
- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and collaboration that supports both journalistic excellence and employee well-being
- Lead all talent management cycles, including performance, succession, and compensation calibration in partnership with HR COEs
- Support recruiting efforts to attract and retain top talent in news, and digital media, collaborating with Talent Acquisition and Compensation
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations, investigations, and compliance matters in partnership with Legal and HR leadership
- Champion employee engagement and inclusion initiatives, tailoring programs for a 24 / 7 workforce with unique scheduling and work-life challenges
- Advise on change management efforts, particularly as LiveNOW evolves its platform, technology, and team structure
- Collaborate with FOX HR teams to align policies, systems, and communications across the broader Television Stations group
What you will need includes :
7+ years of progressive experience in Human ResourcesProven success supporting news or media environments, ideally those with around-the-clock operationsDemonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive culture and engagement initiativesStrong judgment and discretion in handling employee relations and organizational dynamicsManaging the Stations' employee relations and employment programs and initiatives. Full life cycle recruitment including applicant tracking, interviewing a variety of broadcast journalism and digital candidates, reference checking and processing background checks; on-boarding new employees; and performance management and performance evaluation administration.Administration of FMLA and other leaves of absences, worker's compensation, and policy administration.Responsible for employee programs including HR training and employee engagement events.Director will work in concert with Station management and Corporate Human Resources to ensure that all employment regulatory requirements are met and all company policies are adhered to.Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in executionData-driven approach to problem solving and decision-makingExcellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skillsProficiency with common applications such as Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook; Slack; use of AI technologies; and Workday experience, a plus.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.Other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned.Nice to have, but not required :

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate / range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $125,000.00-130,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical / dental / vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
