HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Columbus, Ohio.

Title : Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location : Columbus, OH

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)

Job Responsibilities :

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in a large academic medical center.
  • Administer aerosolized and inhaled medications, including Albuterol, Atrovent, Racemic Epinephrine, and Nitric Oxide (INo).
  • Set up, manage, and troubleshoot ventilators, including GE 860 preferred vents.
  • Provide BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) therapy.
  • Perform airway management procedures such as extubation, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and sputum collection.
  • Monitor, interpret, and report arterial blood gases (ABGs) and other respiratory assessments.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Support patients across various care settings including Med / Surg floors, Progressive Care Units (PCU), and the Emergency Department.
  • Float to Ohio State University East Hospital as needed within scope of practice.
  • Document all care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Active Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license (required)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience
  • Experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings (preferred)
  • Proficiency with ventilator management, oxygen delivery systems, and airway management techniques
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
