Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)
Job Responsibilities :
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in a large academic medical center.Administer aerosolized and inhaled medications, including Albuterol, Atrovent, Racemic Epinephrine, and Nitric Oxide (INo).Set up, manage, and troubleshoot ventilators, including GE 860 preferred vents.Provide BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) therapy.Perform airway management procedures such as extubation, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and sputum collection.Monitor, interpret, and report arterial blood gases (ABGs) and other respiratory assessments.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.Support patients across various care settings including Med / Surg floors, Progressive Care Units (PCU), and the Emergency Department.Float to Ohio State University East Hospital as needed within scope of practice.Document all care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR).Required Skills & Experience :
Active Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license (required)Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)Minimum of 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experienceExperience in adult critical care and emergency department settings (preferred)Proficiency with ventilator management, oxygen delivery systems, and airway management techniquesPrevious travel experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)About HonorVet Technologies
