About the Practice

Ionia ICC is made up of several different departments in one building. We house Family Medicine, Walk-In clinic, Women's Health (2 days a week), Laboratory services, X-ray services, and Ultrasound services. There is a culture of strong teamwork where everyone is there to deliver exemptional care and lean on each other. The Practice Supervisor strives to make it an environment where all team members feel safe, supportive, collaborative, can have fun, and enjoy coming to work. Several employee recognitions events throughout the year for all team appreciation.

Schedule

Monday 6 : 30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tuesday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wednesday 6 : 30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Friday 6 : 30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Variable Saturdays (4-5 a year)

About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of Work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients. MAs hired into this clinic can expect to room patients, schedule all visit types, complete clinical tasks, provide point of care testing, do EKGs, give injections and immunizations, do in basket work, refill medications, cover phones, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 120 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
