Landscape Architect

Kimley-Horn is seeking a landscape architect with 4+ years of experience to join the Scottsdale, Arizona office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on a wide range of project types from mixed-use and multifamily developments to parks, urban streetscapes, and civic destinations.
• Take design ideas from concept through construction, contributing to every stage of the process.
• Lead and support the design, documentation, and delivery of public and private sector projects.
• Develop creative, technically sound site planning and landscape design solutions with a strong understanding of grading, drainage, and constructability.
• Prepare and review construction documents, details, and specifications with an emphasis on quality control and quality assurance.
• Participate in the construction administration phase, including submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and coordination with contractors and clients.
• Manage tasks, schedules, and budgets while coordinating across disciplines.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to team growth and training.
• Engage directly with clients and city representatives during design and review processes.
• Contribute to proposals, scope writing, and project presentations.
• Leverage tools such as AutoCAD Land F / X, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, SketchUp, and GIS to develop and communicate design intent.
