Medical Records Clerk – CNA Certified Required (Daily Pay Available)

SUMMARY :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Records Clerk who is Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. This in-person role supports both clinical and administrative functions by managing patient medical records while also providing essential CNA-level assistance when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Create and maintain patient medical records by gathering folders and assigning record numbers.

Collect and verify patient demographic information from various sources.

Process, organize, and file patient care folders to ensure timely access and confidentiality.

Track and retrieve charts using standardized procedures; document any missing records.

Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding chart availability.

Maintain compliance with HIPAA, facility policies, and regulatory standards.

Assist in scheduling and coordinating patient transportation to appointments.

Operate the facility’s telephone switchboard, take messages, and direct calls.

Welcome and direct visitors and patients entering the facility.

Support front-desk and administrative duties such as data entry, word processing, and mail sorting.

Monitor security access and surveillance logs as needed.

Report resident concerns or irregularities to the Administrator.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in long-term care or a healthcare setting preferred.

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
