Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Real Estate Sales Development Representative (SDR) to play a critical role in driving growth at RETS. The SDR will be the first point of contact for many prospective clients, primarily successful property owners and high-net-worth investors—responsible for engaging leads, qualifying opportunities specific to their 1031 Exchange deadlines or investment replacement needs and setting up meetings for our Advisors.
This role is ideal for someone with a real estate background who enjoys engaging with prospective clients and educating them on suitable solutions based on their individual client objectives.
While the SDR role is focused on lead generation and pipeline development, it also offers the opportunity to expand into other areas of the company over time. Depending on individual performance, strengths, and interests, future career opportunities may exist in Due Diligence, Marketing, or Advisory roles.
K ey Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Qualification
- Conduct proactive outreach to inbound and outbound leads (including property owners, CPAs, and attorneys) via phone, email, and digital channels.
- Qualify leads by understanding their specific investment objectives, current portfolio holdings, and readiness for a 1031 Exchange or DST investment.
- Educate prospects on a variety of tax-deferred replacement property solutions.
- Schedule introductory meetings and consultations for Advisors, ensuring all essential background details are secured.
Pipeline Development
Maintaining a steady, well-documented pipeline of qualified leads to support Advisor growth targets and placed equity goals.Partner with Marketing to strategically follow up on campaign-generated prospects, website inquiries, and event leads interested in tax-deferred investments.Conduct targeted research on property owners and investment real estate assets to identify highly relevant opportunities to connect.Collaboration & Handoff
Document all interactions, exchange timelines, and investment insights in Salesforce to ensure seamless data accuracy and client service continuity.Provide Advisors with detailed qualification notes and real estate background information to support successful client conversations.Support Sales and Advisory teams with smooth handoffs of qualified leads and complete, client-ready information packages.Performance Tracking
Meet or exceed daily / weekly activity goals (calls, emails, meetings set).Track conversion metrics and actively contribute to refining the SDR playbook to better engage real estate investors.Participate in weekly pipeline reviews and team sales meetings, offering actionable insights from initial client conversations.Qualifications & Skills
1–3 years of experience in a sales development, business development, or client-facing role (experience in finance, real estate, or professional services preferred).Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with high-net-worth individuals and professional partners.Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet goals.CRM experience required (Salesforce preferred).Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.Compensation & Benefits
