This role is responsible for ensuring a smooth and successful onboarding process for new retirement plan clients, managing all aspects of plan setup, conversions, and transfers. You will coordinate with internal teams, external advisors, and clients to meet timelines and deliver a positive client experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle complex client needs while improving processes. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally, lead key implementation projects, and contribute to the overall success of the retirement services team in a dynamic and client-focused environment.
Accountabilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new retirement plan clients, guiding them through the onboarding process.
- Schedule and facilitate implementation calls with clients, advisors, third-party administrators, and internal teams to define timelines, milestones, and effective dates.
- Review plan documentation, agreements, and investment selections to ensure accurate setup and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex client requests while maintaining consistency with service offerings.
- Coordinate education materials, participant communications, and training sessions for internal and external parties.
- Track implementation progress, update internal systems, and proactively manage client expectations and timelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce errors, and enhance the client experience.
Requirements
Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the defined contribution industry, preferably in recordkeeping, administration, or client onboarding.Experience supporting advisors, brokers, or third-party vendors is preferred.Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Analytical approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.Ability to travel occasionally and manage workload during peak periods.Benefits
