TLC Rents – General Warehouse Associate / Equipment Preparation Specialist

TLC Rents, a premier Event Equipment Rental Company, is seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our warehouse team. Our rental inventory includes tents, lounge furniture, event draping and décor, portable stages, dance floors, catering equipment, tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and more.

Job Summary :

As a Warehouse Associate / Equipment Preparation Specialist, you will be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, organizing, and preparing rental equipment for customer pickup or delivery. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of quality and service, ensuring every item is event-ready. You will also assist with customer check-in / check-out procedures and loading / unloading rental equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

Inspect, clean, and prepare rental equipment for orders

Pull and stage equipment for customer pickups or deliveries

Load and unload items into customer vehicles or company trucks

Assist with check-in / check-out of rental items, including paperwork and customer service at the dock

Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if certified)

Perform light maintenance or repairs using hand tools

Maintain cleanliness in warehouse, will-call area, and parking lot

Use cleaning supplies and chemicals to clean and sanitize equipment

Ensure equipment is safely and properly stored / restocked

Provide safety instructions and equipment overviews to customers as needed

Work Conditions :

Work primarily in a warehouse environment

Must be able to work in fluctuating temperatures (some areas not climate-controlled)

Physical requirements include : standing for long periods, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting 50+ lbs regularly

Preferred Qualifications :

Previous warehouse or general labor experience

Forklift operation experience (not required but a plus)

Comfortable using hand tools

Attention to detail and ability to complete repetitive tasks with care

Basic computer skills preferred

Friendly and professional customer service demeanor
