Cooperative Counseling Services (CCS) is a dedicated mental health service provider committed to enhancing emotional well-being and psychological resilience for all individuals. With a team of experienced and dedicated professionals – including Psychiatric APNs, and licensed therapists, we provide individual therapy centered on compassion, inclusivity and evidence-informed practices. CCS strives to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can grow stronger and live a healthier life. CCS operates NJ Department of Health licensed mental health outpatient clinics for individuals across New Jersey and provides Intensive In-Community clinical services for NJ’s Children’s System of Care (CSOC).

Position Summary :

CCS is currently seeking experienced, outgoing and motivated Licensed Clinicians to work within our Intensive In-Community (IIC) Program. Employee and Independent Contractor positions are available to provide short term, evidence-based behavioral health services to youth and families in their homes. We have opportunities to serve families in the following New Jersey counties : Ocean, Burlington, Camden, Passaic, Bergen, Hudson, Somerset, Hunterdon, Warren, Mercer, Monmouth, Morris, Sussex, Union, Essex, and Middlesex.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provides short-term evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and their families in their homes or community settings.
  • Schedules and conducts a minimum of one (1) weekly therapeutic session with each youth and family assigned to the clinician, delivered within the authorized time period and in accordance with the authorized number of units.
  • Completes initial consents for treatment and other chart forms as required by policies and procedures.
  • Maintains an active caseload but no more than 20 hours per week.
  • Actively participates in Child Family Team Meetings as conducted by the referral agency.
  • Maintains regular communications with referral sources, including Care Managers and / or Children’s Mobile Response staff as the youth and families progress with treatment.
  • Collaborates with members of the community including schools, medical providers, psychiatric providers, DCP&P staff, treatment facilities and other community resources that the youth and family are engaged with to support assessment, treatment, service planning, and transition.
  • Makes recommendations on appropriate level of care and services needed and links to services in the community, when appropriate.
  • Creates Individual Service Plans (ISP) and modifies treatment approaches utilizing assessment data from standardized instruments. Individual Service Plans need to be updated with each new authorization.
  • Completes Behavioral Assistant (BA) ISPs, when working with BAs, by the second face-to-face meeting with the youth and family and ensures delivery of cohesive and collaborative services with the assigned BAs.
  • Enter clinical notes and other collateral information into the online CYBER system within 24 hours of the session.
  • Completes Transition Summaries in CYBER and notify the office when services have ended.
  • Submits time sheets and supporting documentation weekly to the CCS billing email.
  • Meets the company’s performance and productivity standards.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications :

  • Possession of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field, such as Psychology. Current verifiable New Jersey State license required (LPC, LCSW, LMFT). Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential. The ability to multitask and problem-solve. Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills in working with individuals and groups (e.g., initiating individual or group discussion, listening, clarifying, and facilitating interactions and sharing of ideas). Proficient computer skills, i.e., typing, email, etc. Bilingual skills are preferred, as many youths and families served represent various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Possession of a verifiable valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing; willing to travel locally using own transportation. Required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to facilitate program services in person to the youth and families.
