Job Summary :

This role is for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a Cardiovascular Care Unit (CVU) that supports a 30-bed department providing medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care for medium- to high-acuity patients. The CVU treats young adult through geriatric populations with complex conditions and co-morbidities requiring elevated levels of nursing care. Common patient profiles include cardiac diagnoses, pre / post cardiac artery bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, acute myocardial infarction, post–pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia monitoring, CHF, pneumonia, and related conditions. Nurse-to-patient ratios will not exceed 1 : 4.

This position may require floating to other units, including Med / Surg.
