Travel PICU RN Job Details Job Title : PICU Registered Nurse - Travel Contract Location : Columbus, Ohio (43205) Healthcare Setting : Critical Care PICU Float Pool Shift : Night Shift, 4x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Weekly Hours : 36 Contract Length : 13 weeks (October 20, 2025 - January 19, 2026) Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2,250 - $2,310 Patient Population : Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents Floating : Required to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Department, stepdown, and MedSurg units Orientation : 72 hours PICU RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of PICU Registered Nurse experience (1.5 years considered case-by-case) Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license Current BLS and PALS certifications Proficiency in EPIC charting (minimum 3 / 4 rating) Ability to provide two professional references (one must be a manager or supervisor) Willingness to float to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MedSurg units No permanent employment at Nationwide Children's Hospital within the past 2 years Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of Columbus, OH First-time travel nurses considered with 3 years of experience and Level 1 Trauma experience PICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU Float to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Department, stepdown, and MedSurg units as needed Administer medications, blood products, and manage acute and chronic conditions Perform advanced nursing procedures : arterial line management, chest tube assistance, intubation support, ventilator management, central / PICC line care Monitor and interpret vital signs, ABGs, and hemodynamic data Maintain infection control and isolation precautions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
