Assistant Athletic Director for Development
Assistant Athletic Director of the Charleston Athletic Fund assists in all Athletics-related fundraising, including the Cougar Club annual scholarship fund, sport-specific giving, capital and planned giving, and more. Primary responsibilities revolve around the cultivation and stewardship of Cougar Club annual scholarship fund donors, including the coordination of Premium Seating programs, Donor Hospitality, and other donor benefits.
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelors degree and related experience required. Masters preferred.
- Experience in collegiate athletics development or other non-profit or university fundraising, or sales, preferred.
- Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and / or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Must have current knowledge of NCAA Athletics and athletic fundraising strategies.Must be highly skilled in developing long-term, productive relationships with members, potential donors and the public.Must have strong written and oral communication skills.Computer literacy with Word, Excel, Raisers Edge, and Social Media.Additional Comments Regarding Position :
Attendance at all home mens basketball games as well as selected games / competitions of other athletic teams throughout the year is required.Must be able to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.Some travel is required.Special Instructions to Applicants :
