About The Position

Experience : 2-3 years of Cath Lab experience with impella, telemetry, and IABP required.
License : MA RT or RCIS License required.
Certifications : ACLS required, BLS required.
Must-Have : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Description :
Under the direction of a Cardiologist, the Cardiac Catheterization Technologist performs functions related to hemodynamic and imaging, and ambulatory monitoring operation in the Cardiology department.
This person performs procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision.
The role includes performing all Cardiac Catheterization Technologist duties under the guidance of the Chief Radiologic Technologist.
Responsibilities include performing and recording hemodynamic monitoring.
Maintaining proficiency through continuing education credits is essential.
Assisting with the radiologic operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab is a key function.
Quality control standards are performed by utilizing optimum diagnostic imaging.
Simple trouble-shooting for equipment is required, as well as requesting service as needed.
Completing patient billing forms for Cath Lab procedures is necessary.
Daily calibration and maintenance of the film processor using sensitometric and densitometric equipment must be performed.
Assisting with the preparation of cardiology patients for invasive procedures is expected.
This role includes other related duties as required.
Taking evening and weekend calls for emergency procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is part of the job.
This person shall ensure the confidentiality and security of all data and information related to the hospital and patients.
Abiding by all relevant hospital policies and procedures is required.
