Estimator Construction

We are a General Contractor seeking an experienced, self-motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team.

Our ideal candidate is highly organized with a strong ability to multi-task and experience/knowledge of the construction industry. Candidates must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Procore is a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Examine drawings and specifications for job requirements, quantity takeoff and pricing.

· Perform material and systems take off as required.

· Draft bid scopes of work and final buy-out scopes of work.

· Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers, set up scope and prepare bid documents/forms.

· Examine existing conditions and attend pre-bid meeting.

· Compile estimates, rough order of magnitude budgets, cost-benefit analysis, constructability reviews, and engage in value analysis.

· Assist with determination of schedule.

· Coordinate project buyout and hand off to Project Management Team.

· Coordinate scope reviews with subcontractors and provide subcontractor recommendations based upon these reviews.

· Search for and qualify potential new Subcontractors, suppliers, methods, equipment, etc. for competitive advantages.

· Work collaboratively with project team to ensure positive results.

· Utilize On-Screen Take Off, Excel, Procore, and all other estimating systems utilized by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 5+ years experience in construction estimating.

· Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates.

· Strong understanding of hospitality or healthcare construction help, but not required.

· Proficiency with Procore, MS Word and Excel.

· Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.

· Impeccable problem-solving skills.
