Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax matters
- Assist with year-round tax planning and strategy for clients
- Support clients with tax notices, audits, and correspondence
- Review work prepared by staff and provide mentorship and training
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA license or CPA eligibility required
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in public accounting
- Strong knowledge of federal and California tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
