Primary Responsibilities

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos seeks an exceptional Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support cloud modernization initiatives for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) at the Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Alexandria, VA . This role is pivotal in developing secure, scalable cloud solutions that enhance operational agility and resilience throughout the USCG enterprise.

As the ISSE, you will take the lead in designing, implementing, and governing security solutions for cloud environments. Your expertise will be vital in preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud assets while fostering secure innovation in partnership with cloud engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and program leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement secure cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Establish and enforce reliable cloud security policies, standards, and automation frameworks.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and handle incident responses for cloud-native applications and services.
• Integrate security measures into CI / CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
• Support identity and access management (ICAM), encryption, and key management systems in the cloud.
• Monitor cloud environments through SIEM, CSPM, CWPP, and other security tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and operations teams to facilitate secure cloud transitions.
• Stay informed of emerging cloud threats and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate coordination among engineering, cybersecurity, and program management teams.
• Promote ongoing improvements through feedback and process refinement.
• Ensure alignment with USCG mission objectives and Leidos delivery standards.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
