Property Tax Specialist
The Idaho State Tax Commission Property Tax Division is seeking applicants with knowledge in Property Tax to fill an immediate opening. Minimum salary $35.42 per hour, rate of pay will depend on qualifications and experience. Applications will be accepted through 4 : 59 PM MST on the posting end date. The Property Tax Specialist provides research, analysis and interpretation of existing and proposed property tax rules and, statutes, provides technical assistance to government officials, participates in the development of training and outreach materials.
The successful candidate will have considerable experience administering property tax in Idaho that may include property appraisal or local government tax administration. Typical responsibilities :
Minimum Qualifications : Experience demonstrating considerable knowledge of one or more of the following federal and state tax laws and rules in one of the following tax specialty areas : Income; Sales; Fuels; Product Taxes; or Property. Typically met by completion of the core requirements of a bachelor's degree that included course work in research methods and statistics AND at least 2 years of experience researching or administering tax laws in Idaho or another state that included preparing written reports on tax law interpretation. Desirable Qualifications : At least 2 years of work experience that included researching, interpreting, and administering property tax laws in Idaho.
