Radiologic Technologist Job Details
Location : Lexington, KY 40536
Assignment Type : Travel Contract (Locum Tenens)
Healthcare Setting : Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, Level I Trauma Center
Start Date : November 10, 2025
End Date : February 16, 2026
Contract Duration : 14 weeks
Shift : 4x10-hour day shifts (07 : 00 – 17 : 30)
Hours per Week : 40
On-Call : 1 call per week; 1-2 weekends per 6-week schedule
Qualifications for Radiology Tech – EP Lab
Minimum 2 years of recent Electrophysiology (EP) Radiologic Technologist experience required
Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
Previous charge technologist experience preferred
Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or RTR / RTECI
Valid Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) license or compact state license
Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale
Must pass EKG onboarding exam, basic math, Electrophysiology Technician Competency exam, and CORE exams
COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered)
1 reference from a charge nurse or supervisor required at submission
Local travelers within 75 miles not accepted
No licensure hits accepted
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced radiologic procedures in the EP Lab, including ablations, loop removals, cardioversions, device implants, and lead extractions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, pharmacy, social services, rapid response)
Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
Participate in on-call rotation (1 call per week, 1-2 weekends per 6 weeks)
Provide care for adolescent, infant, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
Maintain compliance with all hospital and unit-specific protocols and competencies
Accurately document procedures and patient care in a timely manner
