Leidos' Defense Systems Mission Assurance is seeking a Quality Control Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for implementing a quality control system that promotes customer satisfaction and supports all manufacturing operations, product approvals (FAI), supplier part approvals, continuous improvement, and defect reduction initiatives. You'll lead a diverse team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors, manage quality activities across multiple business areas, and report directly to the Sr. Quality Manager of Defense Sector Mission Assurance. Primary Responsibilities :

• Serve as the primary quality control authority for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Manage Quality Engineers and quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis.
• Plan staffing needs based on manufacturing requirements and delegate activities to Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Inspectors.
• Establish and implement metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) to monitor Quality Control system effectiveness.
• Lead root-cause analyses and other problem-solving activities to identify corrective actions and process improvements.
• Establish data collection and analysis systems to predict quality trends.
• Develop quality planning methods for all product lines.
• Collaborate with customers to identify improvement opportunities.
• Initiate and implement quality improvement activities (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma).
• Report on quality issues, trends, and losses.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Work with DCMA and other government / customer QA organizations.
• Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Perform all other reasonable duties as assigned.
