POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Analyst plays a pivotal role in the enterprise-wide planning process. This dual role uses a demonstrated understanding of planning, purchasing, and contract negotiation combined with a strong understanding of cost accounting processes to build and maintain MAWD’s supply chain process to optimize purchasing efficiency and cost control. This position is critical for maintaining financial transparency, managing inventory costs, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services necessary for operations. It is necessary for this role to develop efficient procurement strategies through analyzing cost information and processes and present their findings and recommendations to Senior and Executive Leadership. They will act as the main point of contact for key vendors, creating and defining requirements for those vendors, managing contract performance, overseeing inventory supply and ensuring quality levels through data review. This candidate will exhibit a customer centric focus in line with organizational standards and expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Cost Accounting Functions
Analyze and maintain accurate costing data for products, services, and inventory.
Prepare and review cost reports, budgets, and forecasts.Monitor and report on variances between actual costs and budgets, providing insights and recommendations for cost control.Support month-end and year-end financial closings by preparing cost-related journal entries.Collaborate with production and operations teams to analyze and improve cost efficiencies.Develop and maintain standard costing systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Supply Chain Management FunctionsSource and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors.Create and manage purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company policies.Track and manage supplier performance, addressing issues as they arise.Organizational Efficiency and EffectivenessUtilize industry best practices, methodologies, and tools (Lean / Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen) to support operational efficiency efforts.
Devise methods to optimize inventory control procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements and ensure alignment with production timelines.Inventory ControlMonitor inventory to maintain optimal stock level.
Develop procurement strategies to support cost savings and operational efficiency. Conduct periodic inventory valuations and reconcile physical inventory with accounting records.Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobsManagement reserves the right to add, modify, change, or rescind the work assignments of this position as business needs warrant.

Education / Certifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldProfessional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CPIM are advantageous.Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environment.Experience / Abilities :
3 - 5 years of proven experience in cost accounting, purchasing, or a combination of both roles.Ability to organize all aspects of supply chain, from procurement to raw material deploymentExcellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong computer literacy requiredDemonstrated ability to work with substantial amounts of data, including diligent checks for accuracyAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.TRAVEL AND HOURS
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 8 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pmLimited travel is required with this position (less than 10%)PHYSICAL DEMANDS
