Job description

Wellbyrd - UX Developer

Location : Dallas, Texas

Schedule : Full-Time

Pay Range : Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Design & Prototype

Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).

Translate designs into HTML / CSS / JS prototypes to validate interactions.

User Research & Testing

Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather actionable insights.

Iterate on designs based on feedback, focusing on clarity, efficiency, and delight.

Accessibility & Performance

Ensure interfaces meet WCAG accessibility guidelines.

Optimize layouts and assets for fast load times across devices.

Collaboration & Feedback

Partner with front-end developers, product managers, and operations teams to align on requirements.

Present design rationale, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and maintain a cohesive UX vision.

Stay Current

Research emerging UX trends, tools, and best practices.

Advocate for user-centered design throughout the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of UX / UI experience, with a strong portfolio of web and mobile projects.

Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for prototyping.

Experience conducting user research and usability testing.

Familiarity with responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+).

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Passion for wellness and a user-centered mindset.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience integrating designs with booking / payment APIs.

Background in mobile-first design or Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).

Knowledge of SEO best practices for spa and wellness sites.
