Site Manager Gear Up Program
WSU Tri Cities welcomes applications for a Site Manager at Walla Walla High School for our GEAR UP Programs. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, administration, and management of the WSU Tri Cities GEAR UP project at a designated large school. The GEAR UP program provides services to a cohort of at least 800 students, managing an operating budget of at least $400,000 annually. Additionally, the Site Manager will oversee at least 5 full-time staff and other temporary / hourly staff.

The Site Manager represents the university as primary liaison to the partner schools and their communities implementing GEAR UP goals and objectives while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, university, and grant regulations. Duties include but are not limited to : developing and managing budgets; developing work plans; providing direct outreach services to students; coordinating and communicating with school administrators, teachers, staff, parents, students, area colleges, community members, organizations and businesses; providing local leadership in program design, initiatives, supervision of staff, and evaluation; collecting data documenting accomplishments and future needs; developing recommendations to improve program effectiveness. The incumbent will provide support to key program components, including tutor training and career exploration, and post secondary preparation. This is a temporary, full-time position housed out of the WSU Tri Cities campus with an on-site / in-person work location in Walla Walla School District.

This position is overtime eligible. Temporary End Date : This temporary position is expected to end on September 29, 2026. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and / or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
Monthly Salary : $4,869.00 per month. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

It is funded with federal funds by the Department of Education grant whose purpose is to increase the number of low-income and underrepresented students who graduate from high school and successfully complete post-secondary education.
