As the Sr. Director, Category Management-Packaging & Specialty Materials, you will manage, identify, implement, and align global sourcing strategies and global supplier network capabilities for Packaging, Specialty Materials, and Sterilization Services to achieve business objectives. Through strategic leadership, you will facilitate Operation Networks discussions that will optimize the commodity in terms of quality, service, technology, market intelligence, risk, and total cost of ownership for Medtronic's Packaging & Specialty Materials Tier 1 and Tier 2 spend of $900M. Partnering closely with Medtronic's Supply Management Operations Sourcing and Technical Sourcing organizations, you will work to leverage cross-operations network strategies at an enterprise level and continuously develop and improve leveraging opportunities by consolidating spend with key business partners, supporting Medtronic's broader interests.
In addition, you will leverage strategic sourcing processes across Medtronic by maximizing the company's combined purchase power to reduce the overall cost of ownership and acquisition through strategic negotiations and optimize supplier relationship management opportunities through partnerships. You will develop a vision, provide leadership, and develop Packaging, Specialty Materials & Sterilization Services category team members that foster a cohesive, highly skilled, and effective team that delivers substantial value to the Global Supply Management organization and Medtronic.

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD) : $201,600.00 - $302,400.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan. The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification / education, market conditions, and location.
