Join our dedicated Sterile Processing team and make a direct impact on patient safety and surgical excellence. As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you’ll be responsible for the critical work of cleaning, assembling, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards ensures our clinical teams have what they need to provide exceptional care every day.

Essential Functions

• Promote a cooperative and professional work environment through effective communication, strong interpersonal skills, and teamwork.

• Clean, decontaminate, and process instruments and equipment using proper techniques and equipment.

• Inspect reusable items to ensure functionality, safety, and readiness for sterilization.

• Sort, assemble, and prepare instruments and instrument sets.

• Operate sterilization units to produce sterile products that minimize the risk of hospital-acquired infections.

• Ensure availability of sterilization supplies, prep solutions, and necessary equipment.

• Perform daily checks of autoclaves and Steris Units, including biological indicators and air removal tests, while accurately maintaining logs, records, and charts.

• Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge and skills related to sterile processing practices.

• Provide age/developmentally appropriate care in alignment with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the populations served.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Licensure, Certification & Registration

• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to operate sterilization equipment including washer sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, flash autoclaves, and high-vacuum autoclaves.

• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with medical professionals.

• Knowledge of basic and specialty operating room instrumentation.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
