Role Summary
The Research Associate - Proteins (RA) will be engaged in executing experiments with guidance and delivering results according to scheduled deadlines. The RA is
expected to produce quality data and effectively communicate relevant findings and issues to scientific peers and management. The RA will also assist
with data review, equipment maintenance, and inventory of samples, reagents, and supplies.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with Spectramax, Luminex, and MSD.
- Experience in ELISA plate preparation is preferred, in the scientific disciplines of PK, biomarkers, and ADA analysis.
Role Responsibilities
Assist in the conduct of immunoassays assaysProcess biological samples and perform procedures for analysis (blood, tissue, etc.)Perform sample analysis procedures under guidance from the scientific staffReceive and inventory reagents and suppliesReceive and inventory samples and assist in the shipment process as neededOperate lab equipment and perform routine maintenance, as neededMaintain and clean laboratory spaces and equipment including, but not limited to, disposing of trash and washing lab wear.Review data and records for completeness and ensure standard operating procedures are followedOther duties as assignedRole Requirements
Associate degree with 1-2 years of related experience required. Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred.1-3 years of experience with general laboratory techniques and data collection preferred. (Laboratory courses will be considered when accompanied by appropriate collegiate transcript for review.)Experience with micro pipetting is idealExperience with a regulated environment and a general understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)General understanding of laboratory operations and the importance of comprehensive data collectionSolid understanding of study design and ability to comprehend and follow protocolsProficiency with Microsoft Office core applications and the ability to learn and use additional applications.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitaskAttention to detailSelf-starter, able to prioritize work and function efficiently.Behavioral Expectations

The person filling this position will spend approximately 10% in an office setting and 90% in the laboratory. There will be exposure to animal pathogens and chemicals. There will be handling of, and / or exposure to, animal tissue and zoonotic organisms.Ability to don and wear personal protective gear, including N95 masks and respiratorsAbility to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
