Material Planner

We are looking for a dedicated MATERIAL PLANNER in Houston, TX 77073 with $35-$40 / hr pay DOE for a 12-month contract, temp role. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating production plans, managing job orders, and ensuring materials and resources are aligned to meet customer deadlines. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth operations and contributing to overall production efficiency. Requires a Bachelors Degree or high school diploma / GED with 3+ years of experience in materials planning and execution in a manufacturing environment, and must be knowledgeable with Excel APPLY NOW!

Schedule :  Work onsite from Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM. ( This role is NOT remote or hybrid.)

Responsibilities :

• Develop and manage job induction plans based on resource availability and workload, ensuring alignment with Customer Want Dates (CWD).
• Respond to planning-related queries while collecting, analyzing, and recording job progress data.
• Review and analyze process performance data to identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to support stable operations.
• Collaborate with the Forecasting & Planning (F&P) team to ensure accurate volume projections across production shops.
• Lead daily production meetings, document key takeaways, follow up on action items, and report job updates during repair execution reviews.
• Update ERP systems with job order details, ensuring accurate and timely reflection of job statuses by all relevant stakeholders.
• Communicate and negotiate any changes to completion timelines with internal and external customers.
• Work with the engineering team on spare parts pre-ordering and optimize shop equipment utilization to meet budget hours and production cycle targets.
• Coordinate with materials and operations teams to ensure all necessary consumables and spare parts are available on time for each job.
