American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Eureka, California.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with a current CA license and ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute care hospital Labor & Delivery unit
  • Day shifts consist of 3x12 hour shifts, 6 : 00 am to 6 : 30 pm
  • Every other weekend required
  • On-call responsibilities are required
  • Floating is required within the hospital and to nearby affiliated facilities
  • Epic EMR system is used and experience is required
  • Care for obstetric patients throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period
  • Expected to float to sister or affiliate facilities within the state as needed
  • Travelers who refuse floating may lose their assignment
  • Scrubs may be any solid color, with Royal Blue or Navy typical
  • Willingness to work at least two out of three major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day
  • Local candidates are accepted with specific rules applying to pay rates
  • Orientation parking is free and assignment parking will be assigned after orientation
  • Pre-start and annual module training required, completed through self-reporting
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license in hand is required
  • Minimum of 1 year recent Labor & Delivery experience
  • Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NRP
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Ability to provide at least two supervisory references covering one year of recent experience in a comparable specialty
  • Returned permanent staff must have a 3-month separation before returning as a traveler
  • Not eligible if residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
