CFS is partnering with a reputable company in LaPorte, Indiana to hire a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist . This role is essential to maintaining the company's financial health by ensuring accurate and timely billing, managing invoices, and supporting the accounts receivable process.

The Billing Specialist will collaborate closely with accounting and customer service teams, ensuring invoices are processed correctly, discrepancies are resolved promptly, and client accounts remain current. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality financial support.

Position : Fully in-office in LaPorte, IN | Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm

Key Responsibilities of the Billing Specialist

Generate and distribute invoices to customers accurately and on schedule

Review contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements to ensure correct billing details

Post payments and apply them to customer accounts

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, credit memos, and payment issues

Communicate with clients to address billing inquiries and provide account statements

Support the accounts receivable process by tracking outstanding invoices and assisting with collections when necessary

Assist with month-end closing, reporting, and account reconciliation tasks

Maintain accurate billing records and documentation for audits and compliance

Qualifications for the Billing Specialist

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

1-3 years of billing, accounts receivable, or accounting experience required

Proficiency with accounting or billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when needed
