Network Technician I

A large telecommunications company is seeking a fully remote Network Technician II for a contract extending through 2025. The 4 year project awarded will include standing up 10,000 network sites during the length of the contract. Their daily duties will include adding the configurations to customer orders, creating the workflow, and once the order is completed, they will route this to the testing team. The majority of the day will include troubleshooting VPN issues and setting up new systems. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and have the ability to work in a face paced environment. This position pays $23-25 / HR while on contract.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of working in a network related role

Hands-on experience with layers 1-3 of the OSI model

VPN / DIA / Ethernet troubleshooting and setups

Experience with at least of the following routing protocols : BGP, IPV6, EIGRP, OSPF or MD5 password

Enterprise level experience with routing hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel

Experience communicating to customers and / or vendors

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Network certification- Network+, CCNA, etc.
