Senior Mortgage Loan Processor

Overview

A top banking client in Columbus, OH is looking for a Mortgage Loan Processor to join their team for a 4 month contract opportunity. This person is going to be working closely with loan originators and loan origination sources to gather or prepare all documents needed to satisfy underwriting requirements, sending out verification requests, keeping interested parties advised as to the status of loan applications, and performing some reporting functions. The purpose of this position is to alleviate some of the back office tasks that the loan officer's are responsible for.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews loan files for completeness.
• Works closely with mortgage loan officers and loan origination sources to gather and prepare all documents needed to satisfy underwriting requirements.
• Sends out requests and keeps interested parties advised as to the status of loan applications.
• Coordinates the request of additional information required from employers.
• Validates documentation for data integrity based on automated underwriting recommendations.
• Communicates any scheduling issues or concerns with managers or mortgage loan officers.
