Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in NYC, Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester. Sun River Health is currently looking for a Regional Program Director to join our Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Services (MHOTRS) / A31 Clinic team.

Position Summary

The Regional Program Director provides leadership and serves as a role model for all Clinic Program Directors and clinical personnel in the planning and delivery of patient clinical services. This role oversees program clinical operations and collaborates with all departments to develop, deliver, and evaluate the clinical services provided to patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the mission of Sun River Health to increase access to comprehensive primary and preventive health care, especially for underserved and vulnerable communities.

  • Lead and evaluate clinical program services across the region.
  • Assist in managing and monitoring the behavioral health budget and collaborate with the COO / SVP on resource allocation.
  • Assist SVP with maintaining compliance with OMH regulations.
  • Oversee clinic client intakes and discharges, ensuring compliance with regulatory and agency requirements.
  • Direct, coordinate, and implement internal and external training programs for staff.
  • Participate in intra- and inter-agency community meetings and committees.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to all Clinic Program Directors.
  • Monitor daily performance and weekly reports.
  • Develop relationships with key referrers and act as an executive liaison for the region.
  • Monitor weekly results and track monthly outcomes and trends.
  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, supervision, performance evaluations, training, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

Essential Job Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work or related field.
  • New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
  • Knowledge of DSM‑V and regulatory standards.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in behavioral health program administration.
  • KPIs, Operations and Staffing, Policies and Compliance, Resource Management, Staff Development.
  • Technical Skills : Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions, write reports and business correspondence, apply basic algebra and geometry.
  • Work Environment : Hybrid – requires both onsite and remote work.

    Job Type : Full‑Time

    Salary Range : $80,468.80 - $100,586.00 per year
